Decisions by the Regional Assembly and its three committees are taken simply: Discussion, vote, next item. But behind the scenes, there have often been months of detailed preparation and follow-up, considerations and research that go into taking these important decisions. This work is carried out by the team of roughly 80 staff at head office at Kronenstraße, who work in an interdisciplinary, targeted and flexible manner for the region. In addition, the areas of Planning, Business and Transport comprise countless tasks and projects that affect the people in the region directly or indirectly. Careful preparation is essential in order for decisions to be taken at a political level. Like the preparatory work, subsequent implementation is also based on the careful work done at head office and the close collaboration with local authorities and partners in Germany and abroad.
