An important indicator for the economic power of the Stuttgart Region is the gross domestic product (GDP), which records the value of all goods and services produced or rendered in the area under consideration. The Stuttgart Region's GDP amounts to 155 billion euros. This is equivalent to the gross domestic product of Hungary (169 billion euros in 2022). The precursor to GDP is gross value added, which is broken down by sectoral value added shares in the figure.
