Promote, network, advance!

With the "Program for the co-financing of regional model projects and cooperation in the area of economic and tourism promotion", the region provides thematic impetus and supports inter-municipal cooperation. The funding area was deliberately defined broadly with the topics of business and tourism. The aim is to create more joint projects. The entire region benefits from the synergies created.

Co-financing projects 2023

The following three projects were awarded co-financing by the Committee for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure and Administration in October 2023

Inter-municipal start-up grant+ as part of the MachES network (105.000 euros in funding)
- Participants: City of Filderstadt (Department of Economics and Marketing), City of Kirchheim u.T. (Office of Economic Development), City of Nürtingen (Office of Real Estate, Economic Development and Citizen Participation) and City of Esslingen am Neckar (Office of Economic Development and Esslingen Stadtmarketing und Tourismus GmbH).
- Project: Financial support and strengthening of services for start-ups in the four municipalities according to uniform funding criteria. The aim is not only to increase the innovative strength and attractiveness of the joint project area, but also to reduce commercial vacancies and underutilization in the district centers and business parks.
Mobile tourist information for the Bottwartal (29,075.20 euros in funding)
- Participants: Marbach Bottwartal tourism association, 8 member municipalities
- Project: Acquisition and equipping of an electric vehicle with appropriate marketing materials for joint permanent use as a flexible tourist information and tasting station by the Bottwartal municipalities and at supra-regional events/fairs such as the CMT.
Cycle route along the "architecture stations" from the Remstal Garden Show with digital tour book (16,250 euros funding)
- Participants: Remstal Tourismus e.V.
- Project: Development of a themed cycle route along the architecture stations in the Rems Valley, including digital features and a reward system. The themed route from the Remstal Garden Show is to be enhanced and marketed by linking it with regional offers and producers (wine, gastronomy, culture).

Previous projects

The decision by the Committee for Economy, Infrastructure and Administration in 2014 marked the launch of the "Co-financing program for inter-municipal model projects in the area of economic and tourism promotion". Up to and including 2022, 34 projects have been funded, all of which will run beyond the funding period and are therefore sustainable. This record clearly exceeds initial expectations. The variety of projects ranges from premium walking trails and the marketing of regional products to an economic dashboard and a start-up district. New forms of cooperation, joint marketing concepts and tools

InWert

Brot, Maultaschen, Haferdrink und viele weitere Produkte regional erzeugen, vermarkten, Lieferketten aufbauen und damit die Region versorgen, das wird im Landkreis Böblingen umgesetzt.

MostGastroMarketing

Die Erzeugnisse der heimischen Streuobstwiesen mit eigener Identität ausstatten und vermarkten, dazu schlossen sich alle Kreise der Region Stuttgart zusammen.

Regionalzentrum

Regionale Produkte bündeln und an exponierter Stelle an der A81 auch für Durchreisende attraktiv zu vermarkten, diese Grundidee hat der Landkreis Böblingen ausgeformt.

Schwäbisches Mostviertel

Streuobstwiesen, ihre Erzeugnisse und ihren hohen kulturellen und Erlebniswert wieder ins Bewusstsein bringen, das hat sich der von Kommunen gegründete Verein auf die Fahne geschrieben.

Von der alten, traditionsreichen und dennoch fast vergessenen, regionalen Sorte über deren Anbau bis zum Produkt und dem Umgang damit - der gesamte Weg von Korn und Kern wird in Beuren anschaulich, begreifbar und erlebbar.

Womo-Region Stuttgart

Den landschaftlichen Reiz und die touristischen Angebote der Region Stuttgart für Wohnmobilisten direkt zugänglich und erlebbar zu machen, ist Kern der Wohnmobilfreundlichen Region.

Conception, implementation and marketing of tourist offers

Mountainbike Konzeption

Ein Netz aus hoch qualitativen Mountainbike-Trails aufspannen, damit illegale Trails unattraktiv machen und verhindern, das ist gemeinsames Anliegen aller involvierten Akteure im Kreis Esslingen.

Stadtführung neu gedacht

Mit neuen Ideen szenisch aufbereitet das Thema Stadtführung in attraktive, zeitgemäße Form zu gießen und z.B. via Speeddating zu präsentieren, das haben Weil der Stadt und Waldenbuch in einem gemeinsamen Projekt entwickelt.

Digitale Tourenbuchung

Stadtführungen und Touren unabhängig von Öffnungszeiten buchen zu können entlastet Anbieter und Gäste – dafür hat die Regio Stuttgart Marketing ein von allen Partnern einsetzbares Buchungssystem implementiert.

3B-Land Lauschtouren

Alles über die Städte oder die Tourenpunkte über das eigene Device auf die Ohren bringen die Lauschtouren der Tourismusgemeinschaft 3B-Land mit ihren Städten Bietigheim-Bissingen, Besigheim und Bönnigheim.

Steillagen-App

Eintauchen in das Wissen und die Faszination der Steillagenkultur, vor Ort erleben und ihre Erzeugnisse genießen - den Schlüssel dazu hat die Steillagen-App des Landkreises Ludwigsburg.

Feenspuren

Eine, zwei oder fünf Stunden – die Premiumwanderwege „Feenspuren“ halten alle Varianten für alle bereit, die die spektakuläre Natur im Schwäbischen Wald auf Schusters Rappen durchstreifen und intensiv erleben wollen.

Regio Stuttgart Marketing has put over seventy nearby highlights in the region on a map, which you can experience for free or at a reduced price.

Q-vadis

Geodata-based and always up-to-date information when out and about in the Swabian Forest - the basis for this has been created by the tourism association together with the local authorities and the Rems Murr district.

New worlds of images

The quality of the material is a decisive factor for success, especially in tourism marketing. The project has made it possible to create professional image material and build up a database that is affordable for everyone in the community.

Prospects

The new experience portal for the Stuttgart region was created with images and moving images of the spectacular views, tailored to modern requirements such as social media.

Digitalisation in tourism

From the blog to the reel and for social media and target group-oriented customer communication - this is what the comprehensive training program for tourism representatives in the Stuttgart region teaches.

Touristinformation at the airport

With digital elements and the presentation of regional flagships, guests were met at the airport via a newly designed tourist information center.

Lenningen, Owen and Erkenbrechtsweiler have joined forces and created a joint office for business and tourism promotion.

Schwäbische Waldbahn

Welzheim, Rudersberg, Schorndorf and the operating community have taken the marketing for the Swabian Forest Railway into the future with a joint staff position.
