Regional prize for schools

Sustainability as a role model for the region
"Small local measures can have a big impact and contribute to the big picture." This is the basic idea behind our Regional School Award for Sustainability, which is now being awarded for the second time.
In the 2023/2024 school year, the Verband Region Stuttgart is therefore once again looking for creative and committed projects that encourage sustainable thinking and action in the region.
The 2024 award winners

First prize and prize money of 5,000 euros were awarded to Max-Planck-Gymnasium Schorndorf for its "Sustainability at MPG" project. The school has successfully integrated sustainability into the school culture. With a variety of measures, including a sustainability week, a school garden, art projects, fair trade initiatives and upcycling campaigns, the school showed how sustainability can be practiced in many different ways.
What are you looking for?
Imaginative new ideas and projects with exemplary, sustainable approaches from the wide-ranging areas of responsibility of the Verband Region Stuttgart. These are mobility, nature, landscape and environmental (protection), regional development, energy and climate, economy and tourism, nutrition and consumption. It does not matter whether the projects are in the middle, at the very beginning or still in the planning stage - the only important thing is that the idea is feasible.
