Pedelec charging points

Electrically assisted bicycles offer environmentally friendly mobility and are increasingly being used for leisure cycling in particular. The installation of charging facilities for pedelecs, also known colloquially as e-bikes, along popular cycle routes increases the range and thus the reliability and attractiveness of cycling. The Verband Region Stuttgart supports this and provides co-financing for corresponding projects by public institutions, such as restaurants, administrations, leisure facilities and cultural centers, on cycle paths or locations that are sufficiently frequented by cyclists. Funding is available for standard products and custom-made charging facilities, including installation costs.

• Minimum equipment: 3 sockets with 230 V and 6 A and storage space for the batteries and their chargers. Chargers, fast chargers, adapters and useful accessories are also eligible.
• Access to the charging facility is via the usual use of the facility providing it.
• The offer is free of charge for users.
• The applicant is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the charging facility.

Proof of use (photo) and the invoice(s) for the expenses for setting up the charging facility are required for payment of the grant.

The application process is straightforward:

• Fill out the compact form APPLICATION for pedelec charging facilities , add the signatures of the applicant and the responsible tourist office and send it
