Participation procedure for the amendment of the Stuttgart Region Regional Plan 2009

On 29.03.2023, the regional assembly decided to initiate a regional plan amendment procedure to reduce the regional green corridor by around 10 hectares to the east of the "Lauffener Feld" industrial estate. In return, the regional green corridor to the north of the "Lauffener Feld" is to be extended by around 14 hectares. No more residential development is to take place in this area.

On 20.12.2023, the regional assembly adopted the draft amendment to the regional plan and initiated the procedure for the participation of towns and municipalities, other public agencies and the public in accordance with Section 9 (2) of the Regional Planning Act and Section 12 (2) and (3) of the State Planning Act. For this purpose, the participation documents will be on public display at the Verband Region Stuttgart, the Ludwigsburg District Office and the town of Bönnigheim from 15.04.2024 to 16.05.2024 inclusive. This was announced in a public notice, which also contains the specific contact details.

In addition, the planning documents will be made available for viewing and downloading in digital form on the Verband Region Stuttgart website for the duration of the entire procedure.

The participation documents include the draft plan with map representation (section of the land use map), explanatory memorandum and environmental report as well as, as additional documents for information purposes, the meeting draft of the regional assembly of 20.12.2023, with all information on the reason, background and subject of the procedure and an overview of the feedback from the early information.

Comments on the draft plan can be submitted as part of the public participation process by 21.06.2024 in digital form by email to planung@region-stuttgart.org, by post or for recording at Verband Region Stuttgart, Kronenstraße 25, 70174 Stuttgart.
