At the regional assembly on July 22, 2015, the decision was made to include four locations in the regional plan as a replacement for the Pleidelsheim/Murr industrial park:

• Ingersheim (adjacent to the "Gröninger Weg" industrial estate, around 15 hectares)
• Schwieberdingen (between the high-speed railway line and the Schwieberdingen industrial estate, around 23 hectares)
• Korntal-Münchingen (between the A81 and B10, around 19 hectares)
• Bietigheim-Bissingen (west of the Tamm Nord industrial estate, south of Ludwigsburger Strasse, around 17 hectares)

After the partial amendment procedure was initiated on 22.07.2012, a participation procedure for associations, cities and municipalities was carried out for these four locations. Citizens were also able to express their opinions. The Verband Region Stuttgart also offered information events for citizens.

The amendment to the regional plan was approved on 01.08.2016 and came into force with the announcement on 19.08.2016. Download here:
