Completed amendment procedures

The regional plan was adopted as a statute by the regional assembly on July 22, 2009. The supreme regional planning authority, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs (since May 2012 the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure) approved the regional plan on October 19, 2010 without any conditions. It has been legally binding since November 12, 2010 following its publication in the Baden-Württemberg State Gazette (No. 44/2010). The following changes have since been made:

• Definition of new commercial focal points in the north
• New development axis: Procedure for amending the regional plan for the Murrtal area
